Elegant pair of fantasy herons created with true talent in polychrome Murano glass. The master glassmaker has chosen to interpret a male with the characteristic long beak and tuft of feathers on his head and a slightly smaller, graceful female with a smaller beak (in nature, in reality, the male and female are indistinguishable!).
Both are made with traditional but still difficult techniques, i.e. they are "pinched" and with a "hot" decoration of dark topaz color in relief on the surface to make them unique and precious.

Notes:
HOT DECORATION:
Relief decoration on the surface of the piece obtained during processing, when the glass is still hot. The procedure consists of bringing other glass, at working temperature, to the surface of the piece. Hot application is considered to be of higher quality than other fixing methods, as two vitreous elements joined when hot become a single piece of glass, without any break.
