Large Emilian Baroque Chest of Drawers with Upper Section

Large Emilian Baroque chest of drawers with an upper section, featuring a distinctive curved and rounded silhouette on the front and sides, the latter opening. Supported by curved feet, the lower band is shaped, featuring three drawers and two adjacent upper drawers, located under the top. The upper section has a base with a molding in which there are a drawer and a pull-out on the front; the upper part with glass on the front and sides served as a statue display case, originally only openable with a door on the back, it was modified in the 19th century with the addition of a wooden panel on the bottom, while on the front a small door was created, and an internal shelf was added. Veneered in maple burl with walnut borders, the interiors are in poplar, bronze handles with pendant grips and escutcheons with a coat of arms depicting a pair of rampant lions facing each other topped by a double-headed eagle with an imperial crown.
