Unusual and decorative slightly curved panel in oak wood, well-carved in high relief and lacquered with polychromy.
The Egyptian deity here wears the headdress with the Uraeus (snake) that also adorned those of Egyptian kings and queens. The fragment depicts an outdoor scene with a landscape and vegetation, a dog and the deity's horse. The decorative element falls within the fashion of the period which was that of Egyptomania and Neo-Egyptian architecture. Period: 19th century, France Dimensions: width, 60cm by height 56cm
