Daniele Seiter (Vienna 1649 --- Turin 1705) oil painting on canvas, 65 x 93 cm, depicting Saint John the Baptist portrayed as a virile man with a bare torso, seated on the ground with his reed cross beside him. The painting is in excellent condition, with a frame that is not contemporary but antique and from the same period as the painting. The work is accompanied by an expert report by Prof. Giancarlo Sestieri.
