Description:
Description:
Elegant and antique figure of German origin made in Germany in gilded silver with a fineness of 835 in 1905/1908: it probably represents Ferdinand of Aragon (1452-1516) with a rich brocade tunic and complete armor holding a long sword in his left hand and a shield in his right. Placed on an elegant octagonal base made with fretwork with floral elements. In the base we find the German silver hallmark with a fineness of 835 and another Italian hallmark (Mi 270) which indicates the company Fa. Bi. S.a.s. of the silversmith Heinz Kovehler & C. operating in Milan between 1938 and 1955 (until 1970), who certainly put his hallmarks when he purchased the artifact. Total height cm.23: the base measures cm.7.5x7.5, h. cm.4 (height of the character alone cm.19). It is in perfect condition: 590 grams.
