Louis XVI lacquered and gilded wooden mantelpiece

Beautiful, large mantelpiece in wood lacquered to resemble marble and gilded with gold leaf. This unusual artifact is embellished with four small columns also lacquered to resemble marble. The center, now empty, probably originally held a fabric or a painting. It is in perfect condition. It dates back to the Louis XVI period and originates from Veneto. It measures 183 cm in length and 89 cm in height. The item is sold with a certificate of photographic authenticity in accordance with the law.
