Box with Victory, Winged Putto, and Noble Coat of Arms
Dimensions: cm. 25 x 50 x 36
The walnut box with molded frames, centered by mirrored panels in fabric embroidered with polychrome, silvered, and gilded silk threads, is decorated on the lid with a perspective view of Victory and a winged putto supporting a crowned noble coat of arms, within grisaille decorative motifs that recall those in frescoes on many ceilings of 17th and 18th-century noble residences. On the sides and front, still lifes with panoplies appear. The feet are circular, and the interior is lined with damask silk with reddish-orange floral motifs.
