Important Corpus Christi in poplar wood with a strong expressive charge in all its details. From various stylistic elements, such as the beard, the drapery, the limbs, it can be inferred that it was executed within the mid-15th century, in the late Gothic period, a time in which Lombardy, led by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, desired to unify Lombardy with all of northern Italy.
The size, the era and the carving make this sculpture of dead CHRIST truly significant and rare.
