Giulio Falzoni (Marmirolo, June 1, 1900 - Milan, 1978). In his youth he studied music and painting, dedicating himself in particular to mural painting. In 1915 he began studying drawing in Mantua and the following year he worked as a decorator. From 1928 to 1943 he stayed in Florence where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts and trained under the guidance of Plinio Nomellini. He began to distinguish himself for the use of the watercolor technique, specializing in the late 1940s in London at the Royal Watercolor Society. His first personal exhibition was set up in Mantua in 1939, followed by Florence, Padua, Prato, Naples, Venice, and Milan. His exhibitions have been held in the United States of America, England, France and Switzerland. Numerous collections host his paintings, including the Uffizi Gallery and the Capitoline Museums.
