He was a Swedish piano maker and luthier in Stockholm between 1827 and 1850. Between 1820 and 1822 he worked as a worker at the luthier Ludwig Lüdke (Lüdecke) in St. Petersburg and from July 1822 to March 1823 with Henrik Blomquist in Porvoo in Finland. In 1823 he started his own luthier business, building harps, lyres, guitars, and pianos, in his workshop in Turku, Finland. In 1827 he moved to Stockholm where he continued his activity as a builder of fortepianos, pianos, and grand pianos. In 1844 Granfeldt was admitted as a member of the Royal Academy of Music. Granfeldt married Lovisa Fredrika Widegren and they had 5 children: Emil Theodor (born in 1826), Albert Victor (born in 1828), Vendla Albertina (born in 1832), Olof Ludvig Knut (born in 1835), and Emil Rudolph (born in 1838). https://www.romagnavirtualtour.it/virtual-tour-palazzo-del-buon-signore/ To excite you even more, we have decided to offer a virtual tour of our Palazzo del Buon Signore antique art gallery (www.palazzodelbuonsignore.com) to those who love antiques.
