Extremely rare and precious collection of Biedermeier glasses and mugs

Extremely rare, if not unique, this museum-quality collection consists of four small thermal mugs and four glasses, authentic jewels dating back to the early Biedermeier period. These precious miniature objects in ruby red and cobalt blue cased glass feature various designs, both with smooth and faceted surfaces with wheel grinding. Purchased by collectors of the time as a souvenir of the places they visited, they are all finely worked all around with architectural views of the main thermal springs/baths of Karlsbad, Marienbad and Franzensbad. These places, starting from the mid-1700s, established themselves as the most important thermal centers of Bohemia, becoming a destination for many illustrious figures of the aristocracy of the time. In addition to the rarity of the miniature mugs, it is worth mentioning the perfect state of preservation and the presence of a beautiful patina with natural wear and tear due to the age.
