Summer represents the achievement of the sublimation of Mazzolani's aesthetics and his conception of the harmony of forms.
The balance achieved by his decò mannerism is here at its highest levels, with the female figure twisting in a completely unnatural way, surprisingly maintaining a harmonious delicacy in her gestures.
It is always at least curious to note that an artist capable of such inventions is not celebrated by critics and recognized as he deserves among the leading exponents of Italian sculpture of the early twentieth century.
