Giuseppe Biasuz, a historian particularly linked to Venetian subjects, and among these, Terilli was one of his most beloved, deserves much of the credit for the recent rediscovery of the Venetian carver and sculptor Francesco Terilli. He dedicated countless essays and articles and three small monographs to the artist from Feltre, the last of which, from 1988, is particularly useful for distinguishing the Terilli corpus from the workshop and followers, documenting a sufficient number of signed works or works of certain commission. The twenty certain works are represented in the three materials used by Francesco: wood, bronze and ivory.
