Description:
Particular Persian KASHAN "panorama" carpet with a forest, probably taken from a European painting; certainly chosen to be hung like a painting. The subject is unusual, as Persian wall carpets almost exclusively reproduced scenes from ancient miniatures or the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.
It was matched with another similar one: forest with deer. Both are part of my private collection.
