The extraordinary symbolism represented by the clock that replaces the Body of Christ on the Cross, is represented here in an exemplary way. The clock marks the fleeting time, but, in this case, it wants to remind us of the "time of prayer." An incentive for the believer to stop every now and then to meditate on the greatness of God and Creation.
The work, of intimately domestic and "bedside" dimensions, is made, not by chance, in olive wood with the clock case in brass and hard stones and garnets set just above the base of the Cross. In this case, the stones symbolically represent the "offers" of the faithful during prayer.
