SMALL AND ELEGANT THREE-LIGHT MURANO CHANDELIER - NEW ENTRY

Graceful three-light chandelier, crystal and gold. The arms are facing upwards with "rigamenà" (or "torchon") workmanship and cups worked with "balloton", also called "cabochon", to better reflect the light in the room. The stems of the leaves and flowers have the same characteristic "hot" workmanship as the arms, the petals of the flowers are "pinched", shaped like daffodils and the leaves with a particular twisted shape made by hand with mastery by the Murano glass masters. The technique consists of inserting the glass bolus, attached to the blowpipe, inside a bronze mold, called bronzin. The texture impressed in the vitreous mass widens when blown, forming the texture in question. It is important to remember that the mold imprints the decorative motif but not the shape, which is made strictly freehand. BALLOTON: the term indicates a particular process with which the typical diamond pattern is given to the surface of the glass. This texture is obtained by inserting the glass bolus, attached to the blowpipe, inside a rudimentary mold, called bronzin. When blowing, the ribs impressed by the mold widen, forming the net design. It is important to remember that the mold imprints the decoration but not the shape, which is made strictly freehand.
