Antique Venetian Moor sculpture from the early 19th century in hand-decorated wood

Description: Spectacular antique statue in original patina, dating back to the first half of the 19th century. It is made of ebonized carved wood, gilded and decorated in polychromy with rich floral and vegetal motifs. The antique Venetian statue depicting a Moor symbolizes a servant holding a small shell-shaped tray in his right hand. The antique Moor rests on an octagonal marbleized wood base with a frontal shield (photo n°3) and is supported by 4 gilded wooden claw feet. The Moor's robe is spectacular: in gold, on a stippled base with floral and rocaille decorations. The measurements are as follows: base cm.36x36; h. cm.65, maximum width (at the feet) cm. 44x44, the statue alone h. cm.107, the candle holder cm.Ø10; h.9, total height cm.1.80. Good state of conservation: some small retouching to be done that does not affect its beauty and solidity. The price includes transport.
