Three pictorial projects for the construction of a monument in the form of an arch in Piazza Cavour in Como. The square of the Larian capital is recognizable in plate no. 3, in which we can glimpse, on the left, a glimpse of the Duomo at the end of Via Caio Plinio Secondo, and on the right Via Florio da Bontà and the entrance to Via Domenico Fontana. The three plates can be dated to the 1920s and are the work of an architect who signs each sheet with the motto "Adriana", presumably to participate in a competition. The projects have pictorial characteristics, being made in pen and ink and watercolor on cardboard; each plate resumes the monument in the project from a different angle, revealing a different side of Piazza Cavour in the background. Measurements: - cover photo (front view of the monument, seen from the lake): cm.45.6 x 69 - photo 2 (side view of the monument): cm.44.5 x 49.3 - photo 3 (enlarged view of Piazza Cavour and the arch monument): cm.40 x 61.1 Each plate is inserted in a box frame profiled by a simple oak strip, with an ivory-toned passe-partout (photo 4).
