T/2943 - Rug made in the city of Tafresh, capital of the province of the same name, in the Markazy region. Knotted around the mid-20th century on cotton warps and wefts, with a wool pile, this example features the classic design of Tafresh production with a large central medallion on a plain field. There is a very small restoration and several slightly worn areas.
