Beautiful impression by a painter who was never truly an Impressionist.
The annotation on the back indicates the name of Juliette, her physique and hair perhaps a little less so, although the stylization and speed of execution sought in the conception are evident in this small jewel, rich in brushstrokes and chromatic changes.
The thick and, so to speak, suffering matter gives the painting great sensuality, despite the female forms of the sitter being totally sketched and deliberately vague.
