A typical product of Sorrento, there was a very large production of these objects, which have been made since the mid-19th century as souvenirs for tourists. Fundamental characteristics are the small size of the objects, the openwork carving and, above all, the insertion of inlaid figurines with dyed wood on an ebony background representing tarantella dancers, morra players and characters with baskets of oranges or lemons.
This small mirror in particular has dancers, women with baskets and small bouquets of flowers. It can be dated between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
