Museum-quality and unique
Louis XVI inlaid Rolo table,
in solid walnut,
with inlays of various woods (maple, plum, cherry),
dating back to the end of the 18th century.
Produced with the knife inlay technique,
it bears in the center,
the classic motif of overlapping triangles,
with a central star motif,
enriched by pyrographic shading,
to create the effect,
of solar irradiation,
all surrounded by a rectangle,
inlaid in cherry and plum,
with maple threads.
The truncated pyramidal foot is splendidly tapered,
and the full-length drawer in the band.
Restored in patina.
No restoration recommended.
