The desk has a shaped drawer front entirely in solid walnut. The internal cabinet with veneered drawers is spectacular. Even the drop-leaf top is entirely solid wood. The desk is majestic and imposing, its dimensions and features still influenced by the large canterano chests of the 17th century. The design suggests a manufacturing from an Emilian workshop. The desk has been conservatively and professionally restored by the previous owners and is therefore used but in perfect condition; in our opinion, it does not require any restoration work. Slight marks in the finish due to use, cracks on the sides, interior of the drawers lined not directly on the antique wood but on easily removable panels lined with elegant damask fabric.
