Solid walnut armchair. With a classic "gondola" shape, this armchair is characterized by the presence of two armrests well inserted into the backrest band, which runs along the padded perimeter, ending in a scroll. The front legs are curved, while the rear ones are slightly arched backwards. Padded seat, removable, enclosed by a simple band.
The carved decoration, in the shape of two facing leafy curls, is present exclusively on the backrest.
Due to some specific features, such as: the slightly arched rear legs, the presence of the carved frieze on the backrest, we can say that this furniture is slightly later than the Empire period (1804-1815), and falls more into the subsequent style of the Restoration (1815-1830).
