Important pair of 16th-century Friulian bronze handles. Bronze handles carved to delineate two specular figures of cherubs, with human features in the upper part of the body and marine features in the lower part, whose terminal fins join in correspondence with a shell in the center of the handle. Rings for fixing are placed on the heads of the representations, embossed with fronds. Published handles, a specimen from the same piece of furniture is exhibited at the ethnographic museum of Udine.
