RARE MONK'S TABLE-DESK FROM THE HIGH PERIOD OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 16TH CENTURY (RESERVED)
Description:
Interesting and rare "monk's" table for the center of the room, used as a desk, in solid walnut and with its original patina. The sense of solidity, typical of these high-period pieces of furniture, is here accentuated by the unusual thickness of the structure (from 3.5 to 4 cm.).
Elegant lyre-shaped legs that connect well to the drawer-holding band.
The carving on the front frame and drawers is particularly noteworthy, making the whole piece harmonious.
