RARE "FLAMBEAU" - EXCEPTIONAL "TABLE LAMP" IN MURANO POLYCHROME GLASS
Description:
A purchase proposal is possible. www.palazzodelbuonsignore.com Tel.: 3275865883 - 3312560700 The "flambeau" represents the natural evolution, made of art glass, of traditional candlesticks and table lamps. These unusual and unique glass artifacts were formerly used in Venice as table lamps or actual candlesticks. Luxury and extremely elegant furnishing accessories, they contributed to emphasize the environments where they were placed, creating a fantastic and magical luminous atmosphere. Our Murano glass flambeau, extremely rare, has a characteristic light cobalt blue color, whose tone is called "Blu Vicenza", with shades of pure gold in vitreous mastic. The bells, called in Venetian dialect: "Cappel de Vecia" (the "Grandmother's Cap"), protrude from the vertical plane of the beautiful chandelier with "crested" blown arms and "pinched" like the bells. The leaves are "cut" and slightly turned, the polychrome flowers, of particular realism, are in vitreous paste. The central fire (or "fogo" - in Venetian dialect) is blown and with the characteristic polychrome flowers applied. Rare table lamp, well-proportioned, of extreme elegance and artistic mastery. A true jewel of glass art destined for refined connoisseurs. To make the most beautiful corners of a living room, a study or a representative room truly unforgettable. But, why not, also a bedroom. The work has five lights and is a typical example of Murano manufactures from the early twentieth century. Italy - Venice - Murano - 1930 (approx.)
