Vettore Zanetti Zilla (Venice, 1864-Milan, 1945), a student of Guglielmo Ciardi, was a notable interpreter of genre painting, lagoon landscapes, and still lifes. This very significant work belongs to the important Milanese Collonello Collection. Note the typically Venetian elements: the lyre-shaped table, and the maiolica vase from the Antonibon factory.
