Although she did not paint for the market, the author shows a good academic setup.
The theme is played with originality, focusing on the contrast between the left and right halves of the painting; the style recalls the Milanese environment after the Scapigliatura, when Cesare Tallone taught at the Brera Academy (1899-1919).
