A. Jacobs, coat of arms of the Chedworth family, 1766-69. Hand-made copper copper engraving for the family's ancestor How, Lord Chedwort, deals with three-volume work by Alexander Jacob "A Complete English Peerage" published in London in 1766-69. This incision of the arm for How, Lord Chedworth, shows an arm wrapped in armor with the hand holding a sword. The two side supporters are a lion and an angel. The motto shown on the engraving is "Justus Propositi Tenax" which means "Right and Company of Purpose" is above the name. The print is uncoloured, in good condition in a nice frame"
